Production Blog: Before Filming
Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'll be discussing the essential pre-filming preparations, covering costumes, props, and coordination with the actors. As mentioned in a previous post, the actual filming is scheduled for the 14th, but it's crucial to lay out the groundwork in advance. Beginning with costumes, when creating the storyboard, I focused on distinguishing characters rather than considering practical clothing choices. However, given the cold weather in Florida this February, I'm leaning towards cozier and warmer outfits instead of shorts. This decision, of course, is subject to the actual weather conditions on filming days. Moving on to props, this aspect is relatively straightforward as we already have most items on hand. The list mainly includes the actors' phones, and the inclusion of a fake knife is still under consideration pending final decisions on the storyboard. Lastly, organization with the actors is paramount for a smooth filming process. A well-thought-out schedule minimizes disruptions, and I've ensured flexibility to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances. This proactive approach aims to mitigate potential disruptions if any of the actors face scheduling conflicts. That concludes my pre-filming preparations. Stay tuned for the next blog, where I'll delve into the actual filming process. Until then, thank you for reading, and I'll catch you in the next post!
